You are heading into a new chapter in your adventure and it is so so exciting! I believe that grad sessions are some of the most important photos that you will ever take because they preserve such an important and big change in your life. You will look back at these pictures and cherish all of the memories that came with taking them- and all of the memories that led you to graduate! You have accomplished so much and now it is finally time to celebrate- so pop that champagne and shoot that confetti!!

Why choose ME to take your pics?

Grad photographers are SO easy to find nowadays- I know that I am in a sea among them on social media. I meet a ton of new photographers every year on campus and see them advertise on Facebook and Instagram- which is how I started as a grad photographer back in 2020 when I was a college student at the U of A!

I try to make my sessions and the process of creating your gallery as unique as possible. With every package I offer, I allow the grad (and the parents) to go through all of the photos that we capture together during the session - good AND bad. In the photographer world, this is generally seen as a negative concept to do because you are allowing your clients to view your unfinished work before you can make it your "art".

When I was younger, I had my own experience getting my photos taken and my photographer wouldn't allow me to see any of the images while we were taking them- let alone see any of the unedited proofs- or just ask my opinion on which angle I liked best of my face. When I received my photos back, they were beautiful in the way that they were edited and captured, but I HATED my face and my posture in almost every one of them. This discouraged me (and destroyed my self-esteem) and I now forever view that experience as a negative one even though it was supposed to be a season of life that I was celebrating.

When I became a photographer, I really drew from that personal experience to try to streamline my own editing process by ignoring my own personal opinion as the photographer and giving all off the power to my clients- because in reality it is not my face and body and I shouldn't have an opinion on what I like the most- I want to make my clients happy and let them choose!

SO your grad session is all about YOU! I want you to feel your absolute best in your photos- so I always allow you to look at my camera throughout the session to make sure we have the shot before we move onto the next outfit or location. I also allow you to give me opinions on critiques on when you get your edited gallery back. I will always go back and fix whatever I can to make you as happy as possible with your photos.
